About the Role:
The Real Estate and Workplace team is a high touch team with a charter of providing the best possible in office experience to Confluent employees. Additionally, the team also manages virtual and in-person events and our global On-Demand space program. We are a team full of savvy, collaborative and knowledgeable folks that focuses on getting stuff done while striving to improve the experience all our stakeholders have.
Confluent is looking for a smart and personable EMEA workplace manager based out of our London office. This is an in-office role. As a part of a rapidly growing company, you must be comfortable with change, managing day-to-day operations, working and negotiating with vendors and data management. Attention to detail, organization, and good communication skills are essential.
What You Will Do:
- Own and manage the EMEA (London, Barcelona and Dubai currently) office operations including access & security, vendors, amenities stocking, events and perk management. The scope of EMEA offices might expand over time
- Function as administrative liaison to regional stakeholders with a focus on solutioning their needs around workspaces and adjacent issues.
- Manage sheets, docs, systems and vendor portals.
- Plan and execute company-wide or site-wide events aimed at boosting morale and fostering a positive work environment.
- Liaising/partnering with the People team to coordinate the regional roll-out of HR programs and policies.
- Manage Workplace and Employee safety by keeping up to date on local guidelines and regulations related to workplace safety and maintaining a safe and secure workplace.
- Build relationships and be the go-to person for local stakeholders, employees and EMEA office vendors, landlord PoCs, etc
- Track and manage the budget for EMEA locations.Work with the larger team to ensure budgets are aligned
- Excellent track record of sourcing and establishing internal and vendor relationships.
What You Will Bring:
- 2-3 years of experience in workplace, EHS, employee experience, community building or related orgs
- Attentive to details, proactive and well organised.
- An ownership mentality with the ability to execute.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-culturally and cross-functionally.
- High level of creativity and problem-solving.
- Systems: GSuite, Excel/Google Sheets, Jira ticketing, Access management systems, Coworking platform portals
